Coronavirus: 2,470 new cases, 46 deaths in 24 hours

Georgia has reported 2,470 new cases of coronavirus, 2,243 recoveries and 46 deaths in the past 24 hours. 

A total of 23,976 people remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia. 

34,250 tests were conducted around the country in the last 24 hours. 22,726 of the 34,250 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 11,524 were PCR tests. 

Georgia has had 598,396 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020. 

7.06 per cent of tested individuals had Covid-19 in the past 14 days.

In total 565,773 of the 598,396 patients have recovered, while 8,621 have died from the virus.

The new 2,470 cases were recorded in:

  • Tbilisi - 705 cases 
  • Adjara - 149 cases 
  • Imereti - 492 cases 
  • Kvemo Kartli - 181 cases 
  • Shida Kartli - 161 cases 
  • Guria - 48 cases 
  • Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 270 cases 
  • Kakheti - 319 cases 
  • Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 63 cases 
  • Samtskhe-Javakheti - 60 cases 
  • Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 22 cases

5,231 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 1,199 of the 5,231 patients are in critical condition. 310 of the 1,199 critical patients are on artificial ventilation.

Overall 17,749 individuals are undergoing treatment at home.

19,777 individuals are in self-isolation.

1,671,295 individuals have received at least one dose of the vaccine in the country so far, out of which 719,076 people have been fully vaccinated.
