Georgia reports 2,039 new cases of coronavirus of 31,532 tests

Georgia has reported 2,039 new cases of coronavirus, 2,192 recoveries and 56 deaths in the past 24 hours. 

26,484 remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia.

31,532  tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 18,378 of the 31,532 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 13,154 were PCR tests. 

The country has had 591,766 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020. 

7.31 per cent of tested individuals had Covid-19 in the past 14 days.

556,810 of the 591,766 patients have recovered, while 8,446 have died from the virus.

The new 2,039 cases were recorded in: 

  • Tbilisi - 716 cases 
  • Adjara - 128 cases 
  • Imereti - 321 cases
  • Kvemo Kartli - 135 cases 
  • Shida Kartli - 104 cases 
  • Guria - 63 cases 
  • Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 192 cases 
  • Kakheti - 263 cases
  • Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 60 cases
  • Samtskhe-Javakheti - 38 cases
  • Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 19 cases

5,626 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 1,306 of the 5,626 patients are in critical condition. 352 of the 1,306 critical patients are on artificial ventilation. 

19,582 individuals are undergoing treatment at home. 

21,871 individuals are in self isolation. 

More than 8,500,000 tests have been conducted in the country so far.

1,610,309 individuals have received at least one dose of the vaccine in the country so far, of which  675,215 have been completely vaccinated.
