Georgia reports 4,247 new cases of coronavirus, 3,053 recoveries, 74 deaths

Georgia has reported 4,247 new cases of coronavirus, 3,053 recoveries and 74 deaths in the past 24 hours.
In total, 45,100 tests have been conducted around the country of which 26,737 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 18,363 were PCR tests.
The National Center for Disease Control reports that as of August 28, a total of 1,122,209 vaccinations have been administered in the country.
In total 760,899 people are vaccinated with one dose, which is 26.6% of the adult population. 361,310 people are fully vaccinated, which is 12.7% of the adult population.
The new cases were recorded in:
- Tbilisi - 1,755 cases
- Adjara - 456 cases
- Imereti - 447 cases
- Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 304 cases
- Kakheti - 389 cases
- Kvemo Kartli - 295 cases
- Shida Kartli - 254 cases
- Guria - 121 cases
- Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 102 cases
- Samtskhe-Javakheti - 86 cases
- Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 38 cases
Covid-19 has spread in Gldani prison in Tbilisi where about 50 inmates test positive for coronavirus.
Currently 56,693 individuals remain infected with Covid-19, of which:
- 4,619 patients are undergoing treatment at home
- 7,546 patients - in hospitals
- 3,128 patients - in the clinical-hotels
In addition, 1,624 patients are in critical condition of which 378 are on artificial ventilation.
As of today 55,902 individuals are in self-isolation and 112 individuals are under quarantine.
Since February 26, 2020 Georgia has had 540,449 cases of coronavirus, 476,555 recoveries and 7,175 deaths.
The Georgian government will offer incentives to the public to encourage them to get vaccinated against Covid-19, said Head of the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) Amiran Gamkrelidze today.
Vaccination buses have begun rounds in the Varketili, Gldani and Station Square districts of Tbilisi today. A total of 10 vaccination buses will be on the road in Tbilisi, Georgian Health Minister Ekaterine Tikaradze announced today.
Georgia has reported 4,031 new cases of coronavirus, 4,585 recoveries and 73 deaths in the past 24 hours. In total, 42,744 tests have been conducted around the country of which 25,358 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 17,386 were PCR tests. Since February 26, 2020 Georgia has had 536,202 cases of coronavirus, 473,502 recoveries and 7,101 deaths.
Only 13% of the government reserve fund has been spent on the Covid-19 pandemic in Georgia in 2020 and in the six months of 2021, says the Institute for Development of Freedom of Information (IDFI). The government reserve fund enables the state to cover the costs of unexpected expenses, such as natural disasters, epidemics, ecological and other types of disasters.
Georgia has reported 2,669 new cases of coronavirus, 6,177 recoveries and 76 deaths in the past 24 hours. In total, 25,217 tests have been conducted around the country of which 15,027 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 10,190 were PCR tests. Since February 26, 2020 Georgia has had 543,118 cases of coronavirus, 482,732 recoveries and 7,251 deaths.
Georgia has reported 4,778 new cases of coronavirus, 4,753 recoveries and 79 deaths in the past 24 hours. 48,963 remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia. 43,741 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours. 31,605 of the 43,741 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 12,136 were PCR tests. The country has had 549,811 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020.
Georgia has reported 3,886 new cases of coronavirus, 4,103 recoveries and 74 deaths in the past 24 hours. In total, 52,162 tests have been conducted around the country of which 30,129 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 22,033 were PCR tests. Currently 48,672 individuals remain infected with Covid-19. Since February 26, 2020 Georgia has had 553,697 cases of coronavirus, 497,517 recoveries and 7,482 deaths.
