New mass Covid vaccination centres open in Georgia, registration not required

Two new mass vaccination centres have opened in Georgia, where people can get vaccination without any prior registration. 

One vaccination centre was opened at the Mtskheta-Mtianeti regional sports complex, while the other was opened at Georgian Technical University, in the capital city of Tbilisi. 

The Tbilisi centre was opened at 10:00 and in about two hours more than 200 people were vaccinated there.

In addition, people can also receive vaccination without any priori registration at any medical facility where registered citizens go for vaccination. 

It is also planned to schedule transport and bring people to these centres for vaccination.

Georgia has reported 5,359 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours. Currently, 50,192 remain infected with Covid-19 in the country.

As of August 13, a total of 516,300 people have received the first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine in Georgia, announces the National Center for Disease Control, while 225,053 people are fully vaccinated in the country.
