Police have detained a school teacher for sexually assaulting a school student in Georgia’s western region of Guria.
TV Pirveli reported that the detainee is a 64-year-old school teacher, while the victim is an 18-year-old school student.
TV Pirveli also noted that the victim’s mother brought the incident to the attention of the school administration.
Local media report that the detainee has pleaded guilty.
An individual, identified as G.I. and born in 1990, was detained in the eastern Georgian region of Kakheti for domestic violence and threat as well as sexual assault against a minor.
