One detained for domestic violence, sexuall assault against minor

An individual, identified as G.I. and born in 1990, was detained in the eastern Georgian region of Kakheti for domestic violence and threat as well as sexual assault against a minor. 

The Georgian Interior Ministry has reported earlier today that the individual was psychologically assaulting his wife in front of their underage children, abusing the children and threatening to kill his wife with a knife. 

The interior ministry has released a video footage of the detention:

The ministry reported as well that the individual has sexually assaulted a ten-year-old girl who had visited the family.

The crime is punishable by 15 to 20 years in prison or lifetime imprisonment.
