Coronavirus: 2,415 new cases of 37,627 tests in 24 hours

Georgia has reported 2, 415 new cases of coronavirus, 943 recoveries and 26 deaths in the past 24 hours.
In total, 37,627 tests have been conducted around the country of which 21,135 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 16,492 were PCR tests.
The new cases were recorded in:
- Tbilisi - 1,391 cases
- Adjara - 202 cases
- Kvemo Kartli - 172 cases
- Kakheti - 149 cases
- Imereti - 147 cases
- Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 97 cases
- Shida Kartli - 90 cases
- Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 67 cases
- Guria - 47 cases
- Samtskhe-Javakheti - 40 cases
- Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 13 cases

Currently 19,643 individuals remain infected with Covid-19, of which:
- 13,876 patients are undergoing treatment at home
- 4,584 patients - in hospitals
- 1,183 patients - in the clinical-hotels
In addition, 899 patients are in critical condition of which 189 are on artificial ventilation.

As of today 13,165 individuals are in self-isolation and 70 individuals are under quarantine.

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili called the new daily rate of coronavirus infections alarming and stated that Georgia will not endure another lockdown earlier today before the beginning of the government session.
A newborn has died of the Covid-19 Delta variant in Tsitsishvili Children’s Clinic in Tbilisi earlier today. Medical director of the clinic Maia Chkhaidze told local media outlet Interpressnews that the patient’s health condition had been critical.
Georgia has reported 2,616 new cases of coronavirus, 880 recoveries and 26 deaths in the past 24 hours. An infant has died of the Delta variant of coronavirus at the Tsitsishvili Clinic in the capital city of Tbilisi. Medical director of clinic Maia Chkhaidze told local media outlet InterPressNews that the child's health condition was critical.
Georgia has reported 848 new cases of coronavirus, 1,231 recoveries and 15 deaths in the past 24 hours. In total, 18,194 tests have been conducted around the country of which 9,607 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 8,587 were PCR tests.
Facemasks may become mandatory outdoors again in Georgia in groups of 5-6 people due to increased Covid-19 cases, Head of Georgia’s National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) Amiran Gamkrelidze announced earlier today. However, the order has not been formally issued yet, the coordinating council will review the proposal.

In total, 36,656 tests have been conducted around the country of which 20,704 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 15,952 were PCR tests. Since February 26, 2020 Georgia has had 395,621 cases of coronavirus, 369,483 recoveries and 5,636 deaths.
