20 university entrance exam taker tests positive for coronavirus in Georgia

Twenty university entrance exam takers have tested positive for coronavirus in Georgia, Head of the National Examination and Assessment Centre Sopo Gorgodze said today.

Entrants who have been tested positive for coronavirus will be able to take exams later.

National exams for university entrants have started today and will end on July 25 throughout the country.

Only 10 entrants are allowed in a room.

All individuals taking exams or observing examination have to wear face masks.

The entrants who will have temperature before the exams will be tested for Covid-19 free of charge.

If an individual tests positive for coronavirus, he/she should call the hotline of the National Examination and Assessment Centre, after which the centre will notify him/her the exam date.

A total of 38,400 individuals have registered for the country’s university entrance test, says the National Examination and Assessment Centre.
