University applicants living in Georgia’s Russian-occupied regions to be enrolled in universities without exams
University applicants living in Georgia’s Russian-occupied regions will be enrolled in universities without passing the Unified National Exams, reports the Georgian Ministry of Education.
The Education Ministry says that university applicants living in the occupied territories of Georgia who were unable to register for the Unified National Exams to enter universities due to the closed borders will be enrolled at state universities without exams. Moreover, the Georgian government has offered them fully-funded tuition fees.
The Unified National Exams have started today and will end on July 25.
24 examination centres have opened throughout Georgia.
Individuals who will present with signs of fever when screened before the start of the exams and whose PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) test returns negative for coronavirus will be placed in an isolated room where they will take the exam.
