Georgia’s external trade turnover amounted to $5.01 billion in January-May 2021, which is 18.2% higher compared to the same period of the last year, show preliminary data from the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).

The value of exports increased 24.4% and totalled $1.53 billion, while imports also increased 15.7%, amounting to $3.48 billion.
The trade deficit of Georgia in January-May 2021 amounted to $1.94 million which is 38.7% of total trade turnover.
Georgian Economy Minister Natia Turnava has expressed hope that in the nearest future it will be possible to start exporting products from Georgian fisheries to European markets.
Georgia exported locally produced goods worth $1.19 billion in January-April 2021, which is 19.6% higher year-on-year, announces the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat). Georgia’s external trade turnover amounted to $6.20 billion in January-June 2021, which is 20.7% higher compared to the same period of the last year. The value of exports increased 25.2% and totalled $1.88 billion, while imports also increased 18.9%, amounting to $4.32 billion.
