Georgia reports 776 new cases of coronavirus of 31,982 tests

Georgia has reported 776 new cases of coronavirus, 1,329 recoveries and 16 deaths in the past 24 hours.
31,982 tests have been conducted around the country on the weekend. 20,394 of the 31,982 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 11,588 were PCR tests.
The country has had 326,441 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020.
5.56 per cent of tested individuals had Covid-19 in the past 14 days.
306,264 of the 326,441 patients have recovered, while 4,379 have died from the virus.

- Tbilisi - 359 cases
- Adjara - 79 cases
- Imereti - 81 cases
- Kvemo Kartli - 56 cases
- Shida Kartli - 13 cases
- Guria - 20 cases
- Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 84 cases
- Kakheti - 30 cases
- Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 41 cases
- Samtskhe-Javakheti - 10 cases
- Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 3 cases

4,278 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 903 of the 4,278 patients are in critical condition. 196 of the 903 critical patients are on artificial ventilation.
27,821 individuals are in self-isolation.
4,476,000 tests have been conducted in the country so far.
Georgian Deputy Health Minister Tamar Gabunia says that if the public will not observe coronavirus recommendations and rules the government will have to reimpose restrictions. She stated that coronavirus cases are surging in Georgia and that the country ‘is technically ready’ for a third wave of coronavirus. However, Gabunia said that ‘doctors are very much stressed and tired’ and it will be ‘hard for them’ to serve thousands of Covid-19 patients on a daily basis.
Georgia has received the 100,000 doses of the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine earlier today. However, Sinopharm vaccination will not start until it received approval from the World Health Organisation.
Georgia has reported 1,409 new cases of coronavirus, 1,256 recoveries and 27 deaths in the past 24 hours. In total, 40,275 tests have been conducted around the country of which 27,699 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 12,576 were PCR tests.
Georgia has reported 1,788 new cases of coronavirus, 1,251 recoveries and 31 deaths in the past 24 hours. 28,532 tests have been conducted around the country on the weekend. 20,349 of the 28,532 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 8,183 were PCR tests. The country has had 324,256 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020. 6.07 per cent of tested individuals had Covid-19 in the past 14 days.
Municipal transport, schools and public kindergartens have resumed operations across Georgia starting today. The decision was taken by the Interagency Coordination Council earlier today.
Covid-19 vaccination with the Chinese Sinovac vaccine will start in Georgia next week, Head of Georgia’s National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) Amiran Gamkrelidze said today.
Georgia has reported 1,390 new cases of coronavirus, 1,070 recoveries and 18 deaths in the past 24 hours. In total, 38,468 tests have been conducted around the country of which 27,651 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 10,817 were PCR tests. Since February 26, 2020 Georgia has had 327,831 cases of coronavirus, 307,334 recoveries and 4,397 deaths.
