Georgia reports 1,788 new cases of coronavirus of 28,532 tests

Georgia has reported 1,788 new cases of coronavirus, 1,251 recoveries and 31 deaths in the past 24 hours. 

28,532 tests have been conducted around the country on the weekend. 20,349 of the 28,532 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 8,183 were PCR tests. 

The country has had 324,256 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020. 

6.07 per cent of tested individuals had Covid-19 in the past 14 days.

303,679 of the 324,256 patients have recovered, while 4,336 have died from the virus.

  • Tbilisi - 963 cases 
  • Adjara - 127 cases 
  • Imereti - 178 cases
  • Kvemo Kartli - 78 cases 
  • Shida Kartli - 72 cases 
  • Guria - 58 cases 
  • Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 131 cases 
  • Kakheti - 79 cases
  • Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 73 cases
  • Samtskhe-Javakheti - 16 cases
  • Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 13 cases

4,296 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 890 of the 4,296 patients are in critical condition. 201 of the 890 critical patients are on artificial ventilation. 

30,153 individuals are in self-isolation.

More than 4,400,000 tests have been conducted in the country so far.
