Georgia’s top tennis player Nikoloz Basilashvili has won his fifth ATP Tour title at the BMW Open, after defeating Jan-Lennard Struff in Munich, Germany today.
The BMW Open 2021 champion is Nikoloz Basilashvili???????? In the final he defeats Jan-Lennard Struff 6:4, 7:6 (5).

The official ATP Tour website says that Basilashvili captured his fifth ATP Tour title completing the week at the BMW Open 'without dropping a set in five matches'.
It wasn't easy and I was super-tight at the end... It was very difficult. It's never easy playing Jan, he's a very big fighter and serves really well. I am super happy. It seems like German conditions suit me", Basilashvili said adding that his new title will give him confidence for the upcoming tournaments.

Nikoloz Basilashvili is the first Georgian player to ever win the ATP tournament. He took his first trophy in Germany in July 2018, followed by China in October 2018 and later in Germany again in July 2019. A months ago he won his fourth ATP Tour title at the Qatar ExxonMobil Open.

Over a year ago Nikoloz Basilashvili was charged with domestic violence. Although he was released on a 100,000 GEL (about $32,500/€27,600) bail, the investigation on the case is still underway. However, Basilashvili denies the charges.
