Georgia reports 818 new Covid-19 cases, 783 recoveries, 14 deaths

Georgia has reported 818 new cases of coronavirus, 783 recoveries and 14 deaths over the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, 783 individuals have recovered form the coronavirus and 14 patients have died.
Out of the new 818 cases:
- 465 were reported in Tbilisi
- 75 were reported in Adjara
- 73 were reported in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti
- 57 were reported in Imereti
- 46 were reported in Kvemo Kartli
- 29 were reported in Shida Kartli
- 25 were reported in Kakheti
- 18 were reported in Guria and Mtskheta-Mtianeti each
- 8 were reported in Samtskhe-Javakheti
- 4 were reported in Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti
As of now the number of total confirmed cases of Covid-19 stands at 295,358. This includes 280,915 recoveries, 3,939 fatalities and 10,478 active cases of the infection.
Calling on the citizens to maintain public order, the Georgian police have fined 1,437 individuals and legal entities for coronavirus violations over the last 24 hours.

The National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has also announced that more than 8,000 individuals have registered for the second shot of the Pfizer vaccine.
29,250 doses of the US-German Pfizer/BioNtech coronavirus vaccine entered Georgia in late March enabling people over 65 years of age to make a choice between Pfizer and British AstraZeneca vaccines.
Vaccination with Pfizer will be allowed in four clinics of Tbilisi: Republican Hospital, Bokeria clinic, Caucasus Medical Centre and Amtel hospital, in two clinics of Kutaisi and in Batumi Republican Hospital in the Adjara region. Individuals receiving either the AstraZeneca or Pfizer vaccines against Covid-19 will have to stay at clinics for 45 minutes, instead of 30 minutes to be observed if there are any adverse effects.
Georgia has reported a total of 1,219 new cases of Covid-19 after conducting 12,292 PCR tests and 21,754 rapid tests over the last 24 hours. Out of the 1,219 new cases 676 were reported in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi.
The Tolerance and Diversity Institute of Georgia has released a statement regarding recent restrictions imposed by the government of Georgia for individuals coming from India to Georgia, including students, which sets a 14-day quarantine and allows entry in the country only by charter flight.
Eurowings, a German low-cost carrier and a wholly owned subsidiary of the Lufthansa Group, is planning to enter Georgia and carry out regular flights between the two countries, announces the Ministry of Economy of Georgia.
Georgia has reported 578 new cases of coronavirus, 659 recoveries and 10 deaths in the past 24 hours. 9,750 tests have been conducted around the country on the weekend. 5,650 of the 9,750 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 4,100 were PCR tests. The country has had 295,936 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020. 3.06 per cent of tested individuals had Covid-19 in the past 14 days.
