German lowcoster Eurowings plans to launch Tbilisi - Dusseldorf - Tbilisi flights starting July 21

Eurowings, a German low-cost carrier and a wholly owned subsidiary of the Lufthansa Group, is planning to enter Georgia and carry out regular flights between the two countries, announces the Ministry of Economy of Georgia.

The airline has already applied to the Georgian Civil Aviation Agency to receive permission to launch flights to Georgia.

Georgian Economy Minister Natia Turnava said that it is gratifying that not only old airline companies are returning to the Georgian market, but also new ones are entering.

Eurowings has officially expressed its desire to operate regular flights during the summer. It will first carry out Tbilisi - Dusseldorf - Tbilisi flights and then expand the area", Turnava said.

Eurowings plans to carry out Tbilisi - Dusseldorf - Tbilisi flights starting July 21 two times a week.
