Police have detained one individual, identified only as G.M. (born in 2001) for premeditated murder of minor Davit Saralidze.
The investigation shows that the detainee, together with two other accomplices (G.J. and M.K.) had inflicted injuries to the minor, Davit Saralidze with a sharp object.
Davit Saralidze died on December 2, 2017 due to the injuries.
If convicted, G.M. faces from 13 to 17 years of imprisonment.
Lawyer of Mikheil Kalandia, one of the detainees for the high-profile murder case, has responded the detainee of G.M. later today. Lawyer Zurab Todua said that G.M. had to be arrested by police three years ago ‘as the murder weapon belonged to him’.
On December 1, 2017, two 16-year-old boys, Davit Saralidze and Levan Dadunashvili were stabbed to death in a school brawl in Tbilisi.
The Prosecutor’s Office charged two teenagers with ‘premediated murder of underage persons’, and three others for not responding the crime.
Davit saralidze died in hospital due to multiple wounds in his back, while Levan Dadunashvili died immediately.
