During a telephone conversation with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili has expressed concern over the situation on the Russia-Ukraine border and Crimea.
Zurabishvili stressed the need for Ukraine to withstand provocations and noted that it is necessary to move in the direction of our [Georgia’s and Ukraine’s] common security, which is Euro-Atlantic integration.
The Presidential Administration reports that the parties agreed to use the forthcoming visit of Zurabishvili to Ukraine to work on the above-mentioned issues.
I fully agree with @Zourabichvili_S that it is time for concrete proposals for ???????? and ???????? to obtain a @NATO MAP and a plan to join @EU. Consolidation of efforts and solidarity are crucial today. ???????? and ???????? enjoy historic mutual understanding and support in the issue of peace

The presidents of both countries stressed the importance of security in the Black Sea and the need to present joint goals of Ukraine and Georgia at the NATO-EU summit.
In April 11, 2021, Russian-controlled forces violated the ceasefire agreement in Ukraine’s eastern Donbas region ten times, during which one Ukrainian soldier was killed and another wounded.
International media reports that mortars and anti-tank grenade launchers were used against Ukrainian positions, which is banned under the Minsk agreement (signed between Ukraine, Russia in February 2015 regarding a ceasefire in Ukraine).
