The General Consulate of Turkey in Georgia reports that Turkish citizens who have visited China, Iran, South Korea and Italy in the past 21 days will not be allowed to enter Georgia to prevent the spread of the new, China-born coronavirus Covid-19.
The consulate says that Turkish citizens, including truck drivers, already [starting yesterday] have to present their passports to border guards to have their travel record checked.
The consulate says that it is a temporary measure as the situation regarding the coronavirus is changing quickly.
Georgia reported its first case of the new respiratory infection yesterday.
