Coronavirus: 1,784 new cases, 4,119 recoveries, 39 fatalities

A total of 1,784 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in Georgia over the last 24 hours after conducting 14,421 tests.
Meanwhile, 4,119 people have recovered, outnumbering the new cases; while 39 individuals have died.
Out of the 1,784 new cases:
- 801 were reported in Tbilisi
- 281 were reported in Imereti
- 140 were reported in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti
- 121 were reported in Adjara
- 119 were reported in Shida Kartli
- 110 were reported in Kakheti
- 101 were reported in Kvemo Kartli
- 40 were reported in Guria
- 31 were reported in Samtskhe-Javaheti
- 30 were reported in Mtskheta-Mtianeti
- 10 were reported in Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti
As of now Georgia has reported 220,508 cases of COVID-19, including 200,339 recoveries and 2,352 deaths. 17,791 people remain infected with the virus.
Out of the 14,421 tests conducted over the last 24 hours 7,251 were PCR tests and 7,170 were antigen tests.
A total of 1,097 cases of coronavirus, 3,208 recoveries and 25 deaths have been reported over the last 24 hours in Georgia. Archbishop Iakob of Bodbe, who recently tested positive for coronavirus, is currently undergoing treatment at First University Clinic in the Georgian capital of Georgia.
A 23-year-old doctor has been found dead at Aversi hospital in Marneuli district. The local Marneuli radio reports that the young man, who had recently recovered from coronavirus, has allegedly died from a blood clot.
Georgia has reported 1,881 new cases, 1,515 recoveries and 37 deaths in the past 24 hours. 13,655 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours around the country. 6,747 of the 13,655 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 6,908 were PCR tests. Georgia has had 218,724 cases of coronavirus since February. 196,220 of the 218,724 individuals have recovered, while 2,313 others have died.
The Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies (Rondeli Foundation) conducted a study titled ‘Impact of Anti-pandemic Restrictions and Government Anti-crisis Measures on Employment, Incomes and the Poverty Level in Georgia’ during the Covid-19 pandemic and has now released its report.
