Coronavirus: Georgia reports 2,635 new cases, 2,244 recoveries, 49 deaths

Georgia has reported 2,635 new cases, 2,244 recoveries and 49 deaths in the past 24 hours. 

16,870 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours around the country (8,011 of the 16,870 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 8,859 were PCR tests). 

Georgia has had 204,003 cases of coronavirus since February. 

171,526 of the 201,368 individuals have recovered, while 2,002 others have died. 

30,449 individuals remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia as of today.

The new 2,635 cases were recorded in: 

  • Tbilisi - 1,134 cases 
  • Adjara - 230 cases 
  • Imereti - 338 cases 
  • Kvemo Kartli - 216 cases 
  • Shida Kartli - 169 cases 
  • Guria - 66 cases 
  • Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 199 cases 
  • Kakheti - 186 cases 
  • Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 46 cases 
  • Samtskhe-Javakheti - 39 cases 
  • Racha-Lechkhumi, Kvemo Svaneti - 12 cases

6,680 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals as of today. 1,148 of the 6,680 patients are in critical condition. 427 of the 1,148 critical patients are on artificial ventilation. 

2,183 Covid-19 patients are in hotels, 468 individuals are in quarantine and 21,586 are at home.

45,818 individuals are in self-isolation.

More than 1,690,000 tests have been conducted in Georgia so far.
