Coronavirus recoveries outnumber new cases in Georgia

Georgia has reported 3,020 new cases of coronavirus, 3,387 recoveries and 34 deaths over the last 24 hours.
As of now, a total of 79,678 cases have been confirmed in Georgia since late-February, including 62,061 recoveries and 703 deaths.
Out of the 3,020 new COVID-19 cases:
- 1,354 were reported in Tbilisi
- 410 were reported in Adjara
- 398 were reported in Imereti
- 248 were reported in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti
- 198 were reported in Kvemo Kartli
- 153 were reported in Shida Kartli
- 126 were reported in Kakheti
- 60 were reported in Guria
- 41 were reported in Mtskheta-Mtianeti
- 26 were reported in Samtskhe-Javakheti
- 6 were reported in Racha Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti
There are 16,888 active cases of coronavirus in Georgia nowadays. 5,592 people are going under treatment at hospitals, 3,280 more - at special hospitals, while 8,016 others - at home.
Moreover, 2,326 people are in quarantine zones, while 47,548 individuals are in self-isolation.
Head of Tbilisi Infectious Disease Hospital Tengiz Tsertsvadze has recently called on Georgian citizens to maintain coronavirus-related safety regulations and avoid crowded gatherings.
Georgia has reported 3,504 news cases of coronavirus over the last 24 hours. The total number of cases confirmed since late-February has increased to 76,658. Head of the Task Force operating under the Interagency Coordination Council Aleksandre Khojevanishvili announced at a news briefing earlier today that 3,163 people have meanwhile recovered and 33 others have died of the coronavirus-related complications.
Georgian Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture Levan Davitashvili has tested positive for coronavirus. The press office of the ministry announces that Davitashvili feels well and will continue treatment at home.
Several Georgian NGOs have released a statement claiming that the imposition of curfew in seven large cities in Georgia including the capital of Tbilisi starting November 9 is unconstitutional.
A new study by the University of Lausanne for the Council of Europe says that during the first nine months of 2020 there were no Covid-19 cases detected among inmates and staff in Georgian prisons.
Galina Zakradze, 102, is one of the 62,061 individuals who have recovered from coronavirus in Georgia. Thanking the health workers of Kutaisi Infectious Disease hospital for their care, Galina Zakradze received a lot of applause while leaving the hospital upon recovery.
Recoveries have outnumbered new cases of coronavirus in Georgia in the past two days. The country has reported 3,157 new cases of coronavirus, 3,230 recoveries and 30 deaths in the past 24 hours. 16,785 individuals remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia as of today. Georgia has had 82,835 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020.Since then 65,291 individuals have recovered, while 733 others have died.
