Georgian citizen Nini Davlianidze, who is currently in the Chinese city of Wuhan in Hubei province, reported today that the situation is serious, but there is no reason to panic.

Davlianidze is one of those, who refused to be evacuated from Wuhan, where the new coronavirus originated.

In a video released on her Facebook earlier today, Davlianidze, wearing a face mask under a scarf, entered the shop for some grocery.

Davlianidze noted however, that at the entrance she was examined and was let in as she did not have the temperature. She also underscored that everyone in Wuhan is following preventive measures against the virus.

As Georgia has temporarily suspended direct flights with China to prevent the spread of coronavirus, Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani has thanked Turkey and France for arranging flights to evacuate Georgian citizens.

Ambassador of Georgia to Turkey Giorgi Janjgava recently reported that those who have been evacuated to Turkey do not have signs of coronavirus. However, all of them need to go through further medical observation.

Meanwhile, the Georgian National Disease Control Centre has announced that no cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Georgia so far.
