The only school in the historic mountain village of Shatili has been rebuilt after experiencing a devastating fire last year.
A fence will be constructed and the building will be fully equipped soon.
The new school is also made of wood, but the building materials have been covered with refractory liquid.

The inventory and equipment for the school have already been purchased and are already in Shatili.
The purchase of the school equipment was funded by the Georgian Industrial Group, David Bezhuashvili Education Foundation, the European School and the Georgian National University (SEU).

A fire broke out in the Shatili village school in October 2019 which completely destroyed the building. The school was the only one in the historic mountain village.
The fire was extinguished and no one was injured in the incident.
A total of eight students studied at Shatili school at the time.
