Czech Development Agency provides Rukhi, Batumi state hospitals with medical devices

The Czech Development Agency will provide medical equipment to the state hospitals of the Georgian Black Sea city of Batumi and the village of Rukhi, located near Georgia’s Russia-occupied Abkhazia region, reports the Czech Development Agency.

The assistance aims to provide both hospitals with modern technologies. The new Batumi Republican Hospital, which offers pediatric and obstetric services to its customers, will be equipped with new modern Czech medical devices, while the surgical and intensive care units of the Rukhi hospital  will receive new medical devices, with the help of which surgical and intensive care services will be significantly improved”, reads an official statement of the agency.

The total cost of the equipment is €371,000 (about $440,303), of which Batumi Republican Hospital will receive €186,000, while the remaining €185,000 will be provided for Rukhi Republican Hospital.

The agency says that it will continue to provide assistance to both hospitals in the future.
