A seventh person has died of coronavirus in Georgia’s Russia-occupied Abkhazia region, reports the de-facto Ministry of Health of Abkhazia.
The de facto ministry says that an 84-year-old woman infected with COVID-19 was undergoing treatment at home and died while being transported to a hospital from home by an ambulance.
The ambulance team said her blood oxygen level was 55-60 percent when they got to her home. The patient had symptoms of acute respiratory infection… Unfortunately, the woman died while being transported to a hospital”, reports the ministry.
Since early April of 2020, Abkhazia has had 674 cases of the coronavirus, of which 186 individuals have recovered.
