The Georgian Labour Conditions Inspection Department has issued a series of coronavirus regulations for theatres to reopen on October 1.

Head of the department Beka Peradze told the media today that the maximum time for theatregoers to be inside buildings will be three hours.

Spectators will be seated in a chessboard/staggered manner, skipping one seat between places, and the use of face masks will be mandatory.

Before entering buildings, staff and spectators must undergo thermal screening.

Theatrical performances will be held without an intermission.

Theatrical performances were suspended in Georgia at the end of March in order to prevent the risk of spreading COVID-19.
