Passengers should plan to arrive at Georgian airports three hours prior to departure, announces the Director General of the United Airports of Georgia Tamar Archuadze.
Archuadze explained that due to increased safety measures and recommendations, preboarding and other departure procedures will take more time.
Earlier it was recommended passengers arrive two hours in advance.
Recommendations for passengers at the departure terminal:
- Wearing face masks are mandatory for the passengers as well
- Passengers must undergo screening with thermal devices
- Passengers, if they are not family members, should keep a distance of 1.5 meters
- Abide by recommendations that will be announced at the airport
On the plane:
- Passengers must take their seats in a timely fashion and follow the instructions of crew members
- Passengers must contact crew members immediately if they feel unwell or experience symptoms typical of COVID 19
- When getting of the plane, passengers must follow the instructions of the carrier airline and keep the social distance
- Passengers must undergo thermal screening again
The recommendations were created by the Ministry of Health of Georgia and the Georgian Civil Aviation Agency. The recommendations may be changed per the epidemiological situation.
