Coronavirus cases climb to 25 in Georgia’s Russian-occupied Abkhazia

Georgia’s Russian-occupied Abkhazia region has reported four new cases of coronavirus earlier today, bringing the total number of cases in the region to 25.

Local media outlets report that the new patients are students of a Russian military academy who were already placed under quarantine in Abkhazia before testing positive.

The number of coronavirus cases stands at 34 in Georgia’s another Russian-occupied Tskhinvali region.

Georgia has reported just one new case of coronavirus earlier today. 

As of May 19, 234 people remain infected with COVID-19 in Georgia.
