StopCov fund: solidarity campaign raises over 128 mln for fight against coronavirus in Georgia

A total of 128,280,000 GEL (about $40.65m/€37.10m) has already been accumulated in the StopCov fund as of April 14. 

The funds raised in the StopCoV fund, that was created on March 23, will be used to meet 'identified needs'.

Recent companies to donate to the fund include: 

  • LC WAIKIKI - 100,000 GEL
  • Georgian Beer Company - 50,000 GEL
  • Georgian Building Group - 30,000 GEL
  • Sonnet Construction - 30,000 GEL
  • Company Lagidze Jsc - 7,000 GEL
  • Badiauri - 3,000 GEL
  • Flooring Group - 2,000 GEL

In addition to the companies, private entities have donated as well, announces the press office of the foundation.

Also, Georgian Dream members will transfer one-third of their salaries to the StopCov foundation. The Attorney General of Georgia and his deputies also joined in the solidarity campaign, announces the press office of the foundation.

The governments of the autonomous republics of Adjara and Abkhazia have also joined the solidarity campaign.
