Georgia has confirmed three new cases of coronavirus increasing the total number of cases to 233.
The total number includes 54 recoveries, three deaths, 174 infected individuals who remain in various hospitals, as well as two foreigners who have returned to their respective country soon after the tested positive on COVID-19.
Six Georgian citizens died as of the virus in different coronavirus-hit areas, four among them suffered from underlying illnesses.
Some 4,856 people are under quarantine in the country due to possible contact with the infected individuals, while 370 others remain under medical observation at hospitals.

The National Bank of Georgia is monitoring banknotes given bills may also contribute to the spread of the new coronavirus. The money which enters the bank is kept for 14 days separately. Also, new banknotes are being supplied to commercial banks which will be put into circulation for the first time.
The Interior Ministry again calls on everyone to follow the regulations of the state of emergency, otherwise individuals will face a fine of 3,000 GEL, while legal entities will face a fine of 15,000 GEL; repeat offence is punishable by three years in prison.
