Three more individuals have tested positive for COVID-19 in Georgia, increasing the total number of confirmed cases to 134.
As of now, 106 of the 134 patients are infected, 26 individuals have recovered, while two foreign citizens have left to their country.

Yet another individual has tested positive for coronavirus in the country, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 131.
Medical director of Tbilisi Hospital of Infections Diseases Marina Ezugbaia said one of the individuals is the parent of a ten-year-old child, who tested positive for the virus earlier.

5,550 people are under quarantine and 281 others in hospitals throughout the country.
Local strands of the new coronavirus, discovered in patients in Georgia, are now part of a global database of genotypes of the COVID-19, allowing professionals to trace their development.
The Georgian Interior Ministry announced that text messages from “UCKEBA” contain false information about fining individuals for violating the curfew. The Ministry said they did not send any text messages and that therefore the content is completely false.
The ruling Georgian Dream party members in the Georgian government as well as in the Parliament will transfer 1/3 of their monthly salaries to the StopCov fund for three months, said ruling party MP Irakli Kobakhidze earlier today.
In order to reduce the negative effects caused by the coronavirus pandemic and strengthen the Georgian economy, the National Bank of Georgia has developed a temporary supervisory plan, which is in full compliance with the recommendations of the International Monetary Fund, European Central Bank and other leading financial authorities, announces the NBG.
Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia has thanked EU Ambassador Carl Hartzell and US Ambassador Kelly Degnan for their efforts to provide rapid support for Georgia in the fight against the coronavirus. Gakharia said that the support of the country’s partners will be particularly essential in the post-crisis period to help the economy.
A total of 20,500,000 GEL (about $6.24m/€5.70m) has already been accumulated in the StopCov fund as of April 1. The funds raised in the StopCoV fund, that was created on March 23, will be used to meet 'identified needs'.
The number of confirmed cases of the coronavirus have reached 148 in Georgia, including the 27 patients who have recovered. As of now there are 119 individuals inside the country who are infected with the virus (two of the 148 were foreign citizens who are no longer in the country). 5,392 are under quarantine and 319 others in hospitals in the country.
