Families let down by cooperative home construction plans given houses

Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze held a meeting with 57 families today who were affected by the failure of cooperative construction projects to coalesce in homes some 20-30 years ago.

Kaladze said Tbilisi City Hall provided land plots and apartments to about 250 families who ended up without a home for the same reason.
I am glad to see so many happy people today,” Kaladze stated, adding all those affected will gradually receive allotted properties.
Tbilisi City Hall has also revealed tender winners that will build apartments and transfer them to about 300 similarly affected families.

More than a hundred families forced from their homes due to conflict on Georgian soil will be gifted new homes in the next few days.
Earlier today Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili said 180 internally displaced families would be the latest recipients of new homes.
The Georgian government handed keys to their brand-new flats to 251 internally displaced families on Friday, with Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia telling reporters the policy of providing benefits to IDPs would continue.
