Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze has met with PACE President Liliane Maury and Council of Europe (CoE) Secretary General Thorbjorn Jagland in Strasbourg, France earlier today with whom he discussed issues in the two Russian-occupied regions of Georgia Abkhazia and Tskhinvali (South Ossetia).
The issues will also be raised in Bakhtadze’s speech at PACE later today, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Georgia’s membership into PACE and PACE’s 70th anniversary.
The humanitarian situation in Abkhazia and Tskhinvali is severe and human rights are blatantly violated,” Bakhtadze told Maury.

During my ten years in office we release reports regarding Abkhazia and Tskhinvali twice annually. Continuation of the release of the consolidated reports are very important,” Jagland said.
