President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Liliane Maury Pasquier believes that Georgia has achieved exciting progress on its path to the EU.
The statement came after the opening of the PACE spring session late on Monday.
She said that the Georgian and Armenian presidents’ speeches at the assembly this week were highly awaited.
Georgia and Armenia joined PACE only 20 years ago, but they have achieved excellent progress on their democratic path,” she said.
Pasquier stated that the visit of the Georgian and Armenian presidents “is a chance” for further enhancement of ties.
We, through joint efforts, are able to enlarge our European home,” she said.
PACE is scheduled to hold its spring session in Strasbourg, France from April 8-12, 2019, with speeches expected from the Georgian and Armenian PMs.
