Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili has visited Armenia on her official trip today and has held a meeting with her Armenian counterpart Armen Sarkissian.
Both presidents stated that there is still room to further boost bilateral relations.
Zurabishvili said that Georgia and Armenia agree on many issues - first of all, on the fact that the region which Georgia and Armenia belong to has a big potential for development.

She also spoke about the delimitation of the Georgia-Armenia state border [Georgia has a delimited border only with Turkey].
Zurabishvili invited her colleague to Batumi to attend a conference marking the 10th anniversary of the Eastern Partnership,” the president’s press office reports.
Prospects for strengthening economic and trade cooperation and Georgia’s free trade agreements with the European Union and China were also discussed.

Speaking about ethnic Armenians living in Georgia, Zurabishvili underlined the importance of their social integration and protection of their interests.
