Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Lasha Darsalia said the main issues that will be discussed at the ongoing Geneva International Discussions (GID) include the recent developments along the occupation line.

Darsalia who leads the Georgian delegation to GID also said that the six-point ceasefire agreement is also on the agenda.

Darsalia told journalists on Tuesday that the new head of the Russian delegation, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko, might “add new dynamics” to the discussions.

There are rather heavy issues on the agenda. No particular breakthrough is feasible on this round, however, it is important to make steps aimed at the peaceful regulation of the conflict”, Darsalia stated.

This will be the first time for Rudenko to lead the Russian delegation after he became the Deputy FM, replacing Gregory Karasin.
