Business Ombudsman Lekvinadze in Azerbaijan to deepen business relationship between Georgia and Azerbaijan

Georgian Business Ombudsman Irakli Lekvinadze has met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Georgia Dursun Hasanov to speak about deepening Georgian-Azerbaijani business relationships today.  

The meeting was also attended by the First Deputy Chairman of the Caspian European Club and Caspian American Club Telman Aliyev and the General Director of Caspian European Club Rasim Mahmudov.

At the meeting, the importance of deepening business relationships between these two countries was discussed; they also spoke about Azerbaijani companies which have businesses in Georgia and discussed the challenges they face.

Azerbaijan is one of the leading trading partners for Georgia in January-August 2019 with trade turnover of $682.5 million.

Georgian exports to Azerbaijan were $314,951,600 in January-August 2019, which was 13 per cent of the total exports.

Georgian imports from Azerbaijan were $367,571,200 in January-August 2019, which was six per cent of the total imports.

Georgian Business Ombudsman Lekvinadze will participate in the regional investment forums which will be organized by the Caspian Eurpoean Club and Caspian American Club.
