Tbilisoba City Fest 2019 to be held on October 5-6

Tbilisoba City Fest 2019 will be held on October 5-6, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze said today at the Tbilisi municipality government meeting.

The festival will take place in four different locations across the capital city of Georgia, Tbilisi: Rike Park, Legvtakhevi, Metekhi Bridge and Orbeliani square.

This year the Tbilisoba City Fest programme will be quite diverse. Among the events will be: children’s concerts and attractions, culinary, candy and flower festivals, street costume marches and sport activities, Orbeliani open market, pavilions of twin cities with Tbilisi, musical performances, Tbilisi Big-Band concert.

There will be an open air museum featuring a projection on a rock in Legvtakhevi: videos of Georgian writers and public figures, famous paintings and more. Exhibition of rare cars will be held on Metekhi Bridge,” said Kakha Kaladze.

Several events will be held within Tbilisoba City Fest. The award ceremony of honorable citizen and a gala concert will take place at 20:00 pm, October 5.

We will gather at Europe Square on October 6. During the Tbilisi International Festival of Theater  an acrobatic air show with rock music will take place. A very impressive performance awaits everyone,” stated Kakha Kaladze.

Tbilisoba is an annual public holiday celebrated in October. For two days the city hosts various cultural and sporting events. The central streets of Tbilisi are full of people celebrating the festival. Visitors can try traditional Georgian wine, cheese and sweets.
