Hungarian President János Áder visiting Georgia

President of Hungary János Áder has arrived to Georgia on his first official visit.

He will meet his Georgian counterpart President Salome Zurabishvili and Parliament Speaker Archil Talakvadze tomorrow. However, today he was welcomed by Georgian foreign ministry officials at Tbilisi International Airport. 

Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexsandre Ghvtisiashvili said Hungary is Georgia’s friend and supporter. He said Hungary also actively supports Georgia's European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations.

Hungary is actively engaged in the European Union Monitoring Mission (EUMM) in Georgia and it is an active protector and supporter of Georgia’s territorial integrity”, Ghvtisiashvili said. 

He further noted that during his visit to Georgia, President Áder will travel to the occupation line as well.  

János Áder will end his official visit to Georgia on September 6.
