President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili has visited France to open a forum of business leaders organized by MEDEF (Mouvement des Entreprises de France)International tomorrow, on August 28, the president’s press office reports.
President Zurabishvili has met with the president of business association MEDEF International Geoffroy Roux de Bezieux and French entrepreneurs as part of the visit.
The parties have discussed economic relations between the countries.
The Georgian side also presented new investment opportunities in the country.
MEDEF International was founded in 1989. It includes 750,000 private companies involved in aviation, railway, construction and other business sectors.
Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili is paying an official visit to Latvia. During her visit, President Zurabishvii will meet with her Latvian counterpart, President Raimonds Vējonis, Prime Minister Krišjānis Kariņš and Parlaimentary Speaker Ināra Mūrniece.
The new President of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda said that his country “consistently supports” sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia and condemns resumption of “borderisation” process on occupied territories. Gitanas Nausėda made remarks during his meeting with the Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili, who paid a visit to Vilnius on August 22.
Georgian President has stated in Armenia that it is “very sad” that delegations from Nagorno-Karabakh visit the two occupied regions of Georgia, Abkhazia and Tskhinvali (South Ossetia), and discuss these two conflicts as if they are of a similar nature.
The presidents of Georgia and France have held a meeting at Elysee Palace and signed a document on furthering French-Georgian cooperation. The parties discussed the improvement of Georgia-France bilateral relationships and increasing French support for Georgia in international organizations.
