The event is one of the most important international exhibitions of the food, agriculture and gardening industries.

Georgia presented approximately 20 products at the exhibition, including wine, chacha, lemonade, natural juice, tea, dried fruit, churchkhela, gozinaki, tklapi, tkemali, jam, hazelnuts and Georgian traditional dishes. Georgian honey that meets EU standards was also introduced for the first time.

Such diverse products have never been introduced before. I think interest toward Georgia has increased since the Frankfurt Book Fair of 2018. I think this year’s event will be very successful for Georgian entrepreneurs,” Georgian Minister of Environmental Protection Levan Davitashvili noted.

At the exhibition visitors can expect the following:

  • International specialists from all fields of agriculture, forestry, horticulture and commercial fishing
  • Food industry representatives, wholesalers, retailers, caterers

Georgia has been participating in the event for 10 years. From the beginning, Georgia Azerbaijan and Armenia shared one stand to present three countries – the countries began to represent themselves separately starting in 2012.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Georgian Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia Levan Davitashvili and other Georgian diplomats.

Over 1,700 companies are participating at the exhibition thus introducing more than 100,000 various products.

The Berlin International Green Week is an annual event that has taken place since 1926 and represents a one-of-a-kind international exhibition of the food, agriculture and gardening industries.

The exhibition will end on 27 January.
