Short film The Animal (in Georgian ‘Tskhoveli’) produced by Georgian film director Amiran Dolidze has been selected for the Locarno Film Festival.
The news was announced during a press conference in Bern, Switzerland today where the Locarno festival programme was presented.
The film, produced with the support of the Georgian National Film Center was released in 2017. The film speaks of the trials of a young, unemployed man who tries to change his life for the better – but with illicit means.

The 72nd Locarno International Film Festival has been held since 1964 in Switzerland. It will be held on 7-17 August in 2019.
