Georgian, int’l ski experts meet ahead of 2023 championships in Bakuriani

A group of experts from the International Ski Federation arrived at Georgia’s mountain resort of Bakuriani to help Georgian partners define future goals and strategies ahead of the 2023 championships set to take place in Georgia.

The Vice-president of Georgian Ski Federation (GFS) Patrick Lang conducted workshops with experts from the International Ski Federation (FIS) Hello Haas and Martin Fiala on July 9-11.

The fact, that Georgia’s ski resorts will host the 2023 Freestyle Ski and Snowboard World Championships is incredibly exciting. But we understand that with great expectations comes great effort”, the Georgian Ski Federation posted on Facebook.

GFS believes hosting the world championships is yet another step forward for Georgian mountain ski resorts and winter tourism development.

The summer season has recently opened at Georgia’s mountainous resorts of Bakuriani and Gudauri.  

The Georgian Mountain Resort Development Company of the Ministry of Economy of Georgia said the government has plans to make mountain resorts an attractive destination for visitors around the year.
