Danish artist posts illustrations of Georgia to invite tourists after Russian flight ban

Danish artist Livja Viksna has published illustrations of Georgia with descriptions of how fascinating the country is and to encourage people worldwide to visit the country amid the Russian ban on flights to Georgia.
A few days ago demonstrations in Georgia's capital Tbilisi sparked Putin to make a flight ban from Russia to Georgia, and since tourism is a huge part of Georgia’s economy, the country needs your support more than ever! I here present to you this enchanting country with nine illustrations,” she says.

Her illustrations are about Georgian wine, culture, music, fashion, the Georgian alphabet and hospitality.
Viksna also made illustrations of recent protests in Tbilisi.
Georgian winter wonderlands are being transformed into a hot summer destination, inviting the visitors to cool summer days in fresh air and green environment.
Foreign embassies in Georgia are promoting the country as a tourism destination, sharing their personal experience of travelling in Georgia in response to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s recent ban on flights with Georgia. On the other hand Georgians also invite travellers from all over the world to come to their country.
Foreign service officer and former adventure guide in Alaska, Jason Kalbfleisch, has posted about his amazing time spent in Georgia and invited people to spend their summer in the county.
Lithuania is one of the first countries that has joined a new campaign supporting the Georgia’s tourism industry by calling on more of their citizens to visit the country. Ambassador of Lithuania to Georgia Giedrius Poudziunas believes Georgia is “a wonderful environment” for adventure.
Georgia is a safe and popular tourist country, said the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia David Zalkaliani at a meeting with the diplomatic corps today in Tbilisi. "Georgia is recognised as a safe country by the European Union and despite the recent situation, no incident has been observed [of assault on] foreign citizens or tourists [visiting our country]”, Zalkaliani said.
