Traffic allowed on Gudauri-Kobi section

Passenger cars are now allowed on the Gudauri-Kobi section of the road to the Russian border as a result of snow clearing work which has been carried out since morning.

The Gudauri-Kobi section of the Senaki-Stepantsminda-Larsi road had earlier been closed to traffic due to intense snow and ice.

Trailers and semi-trailers are still prohibited to move along the road, the Roads Department said.

Road traffic is moving on the Gudauri-Kobi and Mleta-Gudauri sections of the road under the supervision of patrol police.
