PM Bakhtadze set to visit US on June 5-14

The Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze will visit the United States on June 5.
PM Bakhtadze will meet with representatives of leading companies in San Francisco, Seattle and Dallas and speak about Georgia’s investment climate, his press office reported.
Mamuka Bakhtadze will also participate in the roundtable discussions and speak about the opportunities that Georgia offers foreign investors in various fields.
During his visit to US PM Bakhtadze will meet with high-level US officials in Washington DC as well.
He will address the annual US-Georgia strategic partnership conference at the US Institute of Peace as well as host US officials at a reception dedicated to Georgia’s Independence Day.
The Georgian Prime Minister will end his trip to the United States on June 14.

The Georgian Parliamentary Delegation headed by the First Vice-Speaker, Tamar Chugoshvili is also paying a visit to US on June 3-7 to share the experience of the US legislative body on the federal level.
The Ministry of Economy of Georgia is working on an economic study to find a company that will launch flights between Georgia and the United States, says the Prime Minister of Georgia Mamuka Bakhtadze.
The US 2019 state budget bill provides increased support for Georgia, with more than $127 million in aid. This is $22 million more than last year, the Georgian Foreign Ministry reports. The draft budget reads that $275 million will be allocated in total for countries in Eastern Europe and Eurasia.
Georgia and the United States will sign a three-year agreement in the autumn in the defence field, which will strengthen the country’s defence capabilities and speed up Georgia’s NATO integration, the Georgian Defence Ministry reports.
The United States Ship Ross entered Georgia’s Black Sea port of Batumi to mark “continued cooperation” between US and Georgia “by promoting regional peace and stability”. This is the ship’s first visit to the country.
Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze told the audience at the Commonwealth Club in California that he will try to make people remember Georgia with three figures: 1, 28 and 8,000.
“Our strategy is to make Georgia a regional hub for tourism, for international business, logistics, education and innovations”, Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze told the audience at the World Affairs Council in Seattle on June 7.
“Georgia’s efforts give me great confidence to speak for President Trump, and all of the United States Government, when I say that you will continue to have the support of the United States as you seek to become a NATO member”, the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has stated. Secretary Pompeo spoke about US-Georgia strategic partnership with the Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze in Washington DC today.
