Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze has stated that the government will gift flats to up to 700 soldiers in residential complexes built on the Makhata Mountain in central Tbilisi.
Bakhtadze made the statement during the ceremony dedicated to the 28th anniversary of the Georgian Armed Forces.
Bakhtadze said that it is a “very emotional project” for him.
We are beginning the construction of a new district for soldiers and their families. This is a very important project,” he said.
Bakhtadze stated that 700 soldiers have already expressed a desire to get involved in the project.
He said that soldiers with many children and those with higher ranks will be given priority.
