Georgian FM sends warm wishes to diplomats on Georgian Diplomacy Day
Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani has emphasised Georgian Euro-Atlantic integration as one of the major goals of Georgian diplomacy.

Minister of Foreign Affairs David Zalkaliani has congratulated Georgian diplomats on the Day of Georgian Diplomacy which is being celebrated in Georgia today.
“Georgian diplomacy has a wonderful new generation today and they represent a country which is one of the outstanding members of the modern democratic world with its progressive development,” he said, adding that Georgian diplomats are ready to employ all their efforts to ensure global security and the peaceful future of the world.

While speaking about the goals of Georgian diplomacy Zalkaliani has emphasised the importance of Georgian Euro-Atlantic integration.
“The major challenge for Georgian diplomacy remains Georgia’s unification but I believe that with new opportunities, peace and development the country will be able to restore its territorial integrity,” he said.
Zalkaliani reaffirmed the state’s support for Georgian diplomats and their families, emphasising that the state praises their role in the process of addressing existing challenges.
Georgia is celebrating the Day of Georgian Diplomacy today. Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili has issued a statement regarding the occasion, saying that today is "a very important holiday for our state”.
Georgia is one of the closest partners of NATO and immensely contributes to Euro-Atlantic security, says NATO Assistant Secretary General for Public Diplomacy Tacan Ildem.
"It’s thanks to the professionalism and commitment of Georgian diplomats that today we have peace in Georgia and the country moves towards European and Euro-Atlantic integration."
Georgia has started procedures to cut diplomatic relations with the Syrian Arab Republic, announces the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia. The decision came after Syria officially recognised the independence of occupied Abkhazia and Tskhinvali regions today.
