Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher, the secretary for relations with States of the Holy See (Vatican), who came to Georgia on 21 October, visited Khurvaleti village yesterday, which is located at the occupation line between Georgia and its eastern breakaway Tskhinvali (South Ossetia) region.
Gallagher spoke with locals and received information about “grave humanitarian situation” in and near the occupied territories due to illegal actions of Russia.
Gallagher has already met with Georgian prime and foreign ministers and visited the historic town of Mtskheta in eastern Georgia.
He also laid a wreath at the memorial of Georgian fallen heroes in Tbilisi.
Gallagher is scheduled to meet with Georgian Patriarch Ilia II before his departure tomorrow.
