Georgia's Nina Tibilashvili followed the title-winning efforts of her friend and compatriot Irma Khetsuriani on Wednesday by claiming gold at the Wheelchair Fencing U17/U23 World Championships in Warsaw.
Tibilashvili, an acting champion among U23 athletes, snatched her second title at the tournament after defeating Italy's Sofia Brunati in the final fixture.
The match, which finished with a convincing final score of 15:4, confirmed the Georgian as the ultimate winner in the sabre category of the competition.

Tibilashvili competed at the U17/U23 championships after also appearing at the senior event in the Polish capital earlier in the week. She finished among the top eight competitors while Khetsuriani took gold among the seniors on Saturday.
The new champion among the young athletes is now scheduled to face opponents in the foil category today, before the competition concludes.
Tibilashvili recently claimed gold in an International Wheelchair and Amputee Sports Federation (IWAS) satellite competition in Sarrebourg, France, along with Khetsuriani.
The duo have other medal-winning performances under their belt over the recent years, including world champion titles earned at the World Cup in Warsaw in 2017.
